Welder Performance Qualification
Colorado Metallurgical Services offers Welder Performance qualification testing. WPQ (welder performance qualification) or WPQR (welder performance qualification record) which are tested in accordance with applicable welding codes.
CMS has three welding booths for administering testing to qualified welding procedures. CMS is setup for Stick welding (SMAW), Wire feed aka MIG (GMAW or FCAW), and TIG welding on steel and stainless steels.
CMS keep plate in stock for 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 1" for performing weld tests. CMS machines groove angle into plate once welding procedure is verified and scheduled.
