With the support of our extensive Machine Shop equipped for sectioning and machining test samples, coupled with our stress relief capabilities; customers are ensured significantly reduced turn around time and lower costs. CMS has Certified Welding Inspectors dedicated to testing your welds in accordance with desired codes. We specialize in Welding Procedure Qualifications and Welder Performance Qualifications.
Colorado Metallurgical Services offers Welder Performance qualification testing. WPQ (welder performance qualification) or WPQR (welder performance qualification record) which are tested in accordance with applicable welding codes.

We can travel to your location and sign off on Welding Specification Procedure (WPS), watch welders, sign off on Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), as well as inspect any welds you have already made. Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) is for developing Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). Applicable tests may include some of the following all of which is preformed under the supervision of a CWI; tensile test, fillet bend, nick break, bend, charpy impact, macro hardness and macro etch.

All tests, qualifications and certifications are performed under the supervision of a Certified Weld Inspector (C.W.I.).
